Very bad experience thru Viaota. Ryoko Internet provider. They signed me up for 6 mo’s Internet (unauthorized, $200+). Paypal working with them. PayPal sent me receipt for modems. The following day I received an invoice from Viaota, adding charges for Internet Services. If you’ve ever had to deal w/Paypal you know how frustrating it is to get $$ back. Tried to cancel order, phone # didn’t work. Fill out form “click here” takes you to video about what happens after you order. Return procedure (good luck) others report that if plastic wrap is opened, you can’t return unit(s). Returns go to Germany (I read that costs almost $30 +restocking fee). I asked to cancel (email), said they generated a ticket, but gave me no number. Tickets, from my experience as a Systems Administrator, don’t work that way. Claimed I purchased w/terms of the agreement. Agreement stated that once free data was used, buyer to make arrangements for continued service. Nothing about them signing me up for 6 mo’s w/auto pay. Nothing about this in their ad. I worked in marketing & have an education in graphic design. Not likely I’d miss this. Additionally, worked in a government agency to interpret government rules & regulations then write policy & procedure. It’s my opinion the sites selling this product are ripping people off. I’ve turned them into FTC. Check out Reviewopedia.com to read similar experiences from others.

I just got the product after over a 2-week wait. Worked fine the first day but the second day started losing internet service and had to repeatedly reconnect.Called the order line telephone number and they suggested I call Customer Support at: (443) 456-4433 which I did. Selected option for technical assistance on the automated system and place on a very long hold of over 30-minutes with music and got disconnected. Called back a second time and waited again for somebody to troubleshoot my Ryoko product and another 30-minutes goes by and I get disconnected. Called the Ryoko order line and spoke to another agent who didn’t identify themselves with the company name and didn’t want to provide their own name. This female suggested that I call customer support again and select the last option to leave a message and somebody will call me back 24/7. So far nobody has called me back.Very disappointed at how unprofessional this company is being operated. May file a formal complaint with the BBB because they may be ripping off their customers.

Just make sure you really want this. The item ships from New York, but if you want to return it they give you an address in Germany to send it, and you have to pay. I looked it up and it was about the same cost as the router itself. I thought this was pretty shady.

I WAS ALERTED BY NAVY FEDERAL, MY FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, THAT YOU WERE TRYING TO WITHDRAW $476.00 FROM MY ACCOUNT. YOUR REQUEST WAS BLOCKED BECAUSE I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THE TRANSACTION. I CONTACTED YOUR COMPANY TO MAKE SURE THAT MY CANCELATION WAS PROCESSED AND WAS HUNG UP ON BY 12 DIFFERENT PEOPLE. ON 10 NOVEMBER 2024 0430 HOURS, I SPOKE TO TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE THAT CANCELED MY ORDER AND CONFIRMED THAT MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT WOULD BE CREDITED $220.00 AND THAT NOTHING WOULD BE SENT. IT WAS ALL LIES!!! MY REFUND WAS NEVER PROCESSED AND THE PRODUCT WAS SENT. I HAVE BEEN DISPUTING THIS CLAIM WITH PAYPAL AND YOUR COMPANY SINCE 10 NOVEMBER 2024. Inefficient customer service
Consider this a financial loss if purchased. Customer service is not existent and inefficient and only offers apologetic automated messages. Not only was I met with automated messages but there was no additional options to get in contact with someone who could help with the issue I was having. Trying to return the product means that you would have to spend more to ship the return than you would to receive any type of customer service or assistance. And as the service was never used I received no compensation. I highly recommend saving your time, effort, money and seek another company that chooses to treat their customers as if they are important.

This company is misleading in their advertising. You can not use this without paying a monthly fee, which is not mentioned in the ad. Also they did not want to honor the 30 return policy. After contacting my credit card company. They finally offered a return, but then wanted me to send it to Germany. Postage is more than the product is worth. Don't buy this product.

Horrible Product With Even Worde Customer And Technical Support
I was never able to get the unit to work and it was virtually impossible to get through to any type of customer or technical support. I just received the dreaded message that they had “an unusually high volume of emails or phone calls and were unable to respond”. Finally, I ran over the 30 day period and now I’m stuck with almost $150.00 loss for a six month data plan that I was never able to use. This was absolutely the worst purchasing experience I have ever experienced in my entire life.

I got my order about a week or so ago and have repeatedly e-mailed asking for a phone number so I can ask some questions so I can activate my Ryoko Pro gadgets. I am elderly and don’t understand tech-terminology so need to talk to someone who can walk me through the set up. I don’t even know how to use that black squiggly line code, and have read that these can steal all the info on one’s phone or computer.I’m educated and my cognitive processes are fine, but I grew up in a different era, and the latest technology is confusing and stressful to me. PLEASE GIVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL SO I CAN SET UP MY RYOKO PROs. I’m beginning to think I’ve been scammed as has happened to me on a couple of other occasions. 🤦🏽♀️

I couldn't use it because I needed to subscribe to an internet provider.Now I purchased this one for $49- with free 500MB then I was charged $59.94 for 3GB for 6 months. It took a while running the guauntlet through the check out with all the offers but overall the whole experience was fairly easy and quick. The check-out experience was like the old Seventies adverts like "want more or wait there's more" I haven't seen that for a long time. Very bad experience thru Viaota. Ryoko Internet provider. They signed me up for 6 mo’s Internet (unauthorized, $200+). Paypal working with them. PayPal sent me receipt for modems. The following day I received an invoice from Viaota, adding charges for Internet Services. If you’ve ever had to deal w/Paypal you know how frustrating it is to get $$ back. Tried to cancel order, phone # didn’t work. Fill out form “click here” takes you to video about what happens after you order. Return procedure (good luck) others report that if plastic wrap is opened, you can’t return unit(s). Returns go to Germany (I read that costs almost $30 +restocking fee). I asked to cancel (email), said they generated a ticket, but gave me no number. Tickets, from my experience as a Systems Administrator, don’t work that way. Claimed I purchased w/terms of the agreement. Agreement stated that once free data was used, buyer to make arrangements for continued service. Nothing about them signing me up for 6 mo’s w/auto pay. Nothing about this in their ad. I worked in marketing & have an education in graphic design. Not likely I’d miss this. Additionally, worked in a government agency to interpret government rules & regulations then write policy & procedure. It’s my opinion the sites selling this product are ripping people off. I’ve turned them into FTC. Check out Reviewopedia.com to read similar experiences from others.

I just got the product after over a 2-week wait. Worked fine the first day but the second day started losing internet service and had to repeatedly reconnect.Called the order line telephone number and they suggested I call Customer Support at: (443) 456-4433 which I did. Selected option for technical assistance on the automated system and place on a very long hold of over 30-minutes with music and got disconnected. Called back a second time and waited again for somebody to troubleshoot my Ryoko product and another 30-minutes goes by and I get disconnected. Called the Ryoko order line and spoke to another agent who didn’t identify themselves with the company name and didn’t want to provide their own name. This female suggested that I call customer support again and select the last option to leave a message and somebody will call me back 24/7. So far nobody has called me back.Very disappointed at how unprofessional this company is being operated. May file a formal complaint with the BBB because they may be ripping off their customers.

Just make sure you really want this. The item ships from New York, but if you want to return it they give you an address in Germany to send it, and you have to pay. I looked it up and it was about the same cost as the router itself. I thought this was pretty shady.

I WAS ALERTED BY NAVY FEDERAL, MY FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, THAT YOU WERE TRYING TO WITHDRAW $476.00 FROM MY ACCOUNT. YOUR REQUEST WAS BLOCKED BECAUSE I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THE TRANSACTION. I CONTACTED YOUR COMPANY TO MAKE SURE THAT MY CANCELATION WAS PROCESSED AND WAS HUNG UP ON BY 12 DIFFERENT PEOPLE. ON 10 NOVEMBER 2024 0430 HOURS, I SPOKE TO TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE THAT CANCELED MY ORDER AND CONFIRMED THAT MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT WOULD BE CREDITED $220.00 AND THAT NOTHING WOULD BE SENT. IT WAS ALL LIES!!! MY REFUND WAS NEVER PROCESSED AND THE PRODUCT WAS SENT. I HAVE BEEN DISPUTING THIS CLAIM WITH PAYPAL AND YOUR COMPANY SINCE 10 NOVEMBER 2024. TODAY, I WAS FINALLY WAS ABLE TO GET SOMEONE FROM YOUR COMPANY ON THE PHONE AND WE WENT BACK AND FORTH FOR OVER AN HOUR. Inefficient customer service
Consider this a financial loss if purchased. Customer service is not existent and inefficient and only offers apologetic automated messages. Not only was I met with automated messages but there was no additional options to get in contact with someone who could help with the issue I was having. Trying to return the product means that you would have to spend more to ship the return than you would to receive any type of customer service or assistance. And as the service was never used I received no compensation. I highly recommend saving your time, effort, money and seek another company that chooses to treat their customers as if they are important.

MISLEADING ADVERTISING
This company is misleading in their advertising. You can not use this without paying a monthly fee, which is not mentioned in the ad. Also they did not want to honor the 30 return policy. After contacting my credit card company. They finally offered a return, but then wanted me to send it to Germany. Postage is more than the product is worth. Don't buy this product.

Horrible Product With Even Worde Customer And Technical Support
I was never able to get the unit to work and it was virtually impossible to get through to any type of customer or technical support. I just received the dreaded message that they had “an unusually high volume of emails or phone calls and were unable to respond”. Finally, I ran over the 30 day period and now I’m stuck with almost $150.00 loss for a six month data plan that I was never able to use. This was absolutely the worst purchasing experience I have ever experienced in my entire life.

We will be reporting this to the better business bureau and the Attorney General as well as contacting channel 3 and 5 on your side news....... They have not limited our unlimited data flow service, to keep the data flow equal for all users of theirservice. they have completely cut it off !! Saying it will not be returned to us untill June of 2025. As that's the end of our 6 month unlimited plan. And according to the email you sent my wife last night. They have admitted to that. It's is false representation and advertisement of their product.....

Very disappointed customer
We purchased the Ryoko with unlimited data. It worked for about 24 hours then completely went off line. We have not been able to get this resolved and are very disappointed. They said they restricted the service but intact they completely shut it off. We would like to get this resolved or we will be getting a refund. If someone can please help it would be appreciated.

I got my Ryoko Pro a couple of days ago, and I can't get to charge and can't access the menu. The support folks are not at all helpful. They wanted me to send a video, and I did, but they keep asking me to send it again. I got an email confirming they received it, but still no help. I want to return it, but it doesn't look like they'll answer that request either!Don't waste your money!

Purchased and will not work without a SIM card. Where do you get a sim? So it has to have a sim to get the internet correct ?

NEED A CUSTOMER SUPPORT PHONE NUMBER FOR TO I got my order about a week or so ago…
I got my order about a week or so ago and have repeatedly e-mailed asking for a phone number so I can ask some questions so I can activate my Ryoko Pro gadgets. I am elderly and don’t understand tech-terminology so need to talk to someone who can walk me through the set up. I don’t even know how to use that black squiggly line code, and have read that these can steal all the info on one’s phone or computer.I’m educated and my cognitive processes are fine, but I grew up in a different era, and the latest technology is confusing and stressful to me. PLEASE GIVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL SO I CAN SET UP MY RYOKO PROs. I’m beginning to think I’ve been scammed as has happened to me on a couple of other occasions. 🤦🏽♀️

A few years ago I purchased another…
A few years ago I purchased another device, which I still have in the box. I couldn't use it because I needed to subscribe to an internet provider.Now I purchased this one for $49- with free 500MB then I was charged $59.94 for 3GB for 6 months. I picked up the package a couple of days ago, turned it on about yesterday and paired it with my phone only, didn't spend much time on and now is showing that I have 1.6 GB left for 14 days, how can this be? Is this the way Ryoko/Muama do business?
